Certified Service technicians at your GMC dealer are professionally trained to understand how your vehicle uses its oil and how it monitors oil life. An oil change performed by a Certified Service technician not only provides incredible service, convenience, and a great price, but you also get the added value of our expertise on your GMC vehicle.
Plus, with GMC Pro Grade Protection two maintenance visits* are included in the purchase or lease of select vehicles, within the first two years or 24,000 miles. So visit the professionals at your GMC dealer when it’s time for your next oil change.
Choosing the proper grade of oil is a critical step in engine maintenance. From conventional to full synthetic, your GMC Certified Service experts offer a range of oil types, including ACDelco Conventional Oil, ACDelco dexos1® Synthetic Blend, and Mobil1™ Full Synthetic. Ask the experts which grade of oil you should use for your specific GMC model. You can also check your Owner’s Manual for the correct grade.
These oils contain a variety of characteristics that affect your vehicle’s performance, offer varying levels of engine protection, and can extend the time between oil changes.

Most GMC vehicles are equipped with the engine Oil Life System (OLS). This system interprets your vehicle’s speed and engine temperature and continuously monitors operating conditions—which helps determine when it’s time for an oil change.
The OLS also monitors your personal driving habits and the area’s climate conditions to let you know precisely when to come in for an oil change. When the OLS light comes on, you know it’s time for service. It’s an accurate, effective way to save money and help reduce oil waste.
Your Certified Service technician will reset your Oil Life System after an oil change. If you would like to reset the system yourself, ask your technician how, or consult your GMC Owner’s Manual if necessary.
It’s a good idea to periodically check your oil level. In order to get an accurate reading, the oil must be warm, at normal operating temperature, and the vehicle must be on level ground. Always consult your GMC vehicle Owner’s Manual for the proper procedure to check your oil level. You’ll get a more accurate oil level reading on the dipstick by following these instructions.
