Daytime Running Lamps

Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) are an important safety feature that is standard on every Acadia^® model. DRLs help make it easier for other drivers to see the front of your vehicle during daytime driving. If you choose, the DRL system will turn on the low-beam headlamps automatically at reduced brightness when you start your vehicle. In the evening or depending on the darkness of your surroundings, the system's sensors will switch automatically from DRL to regular headlamps and back to DRL again when conditions are brighter.
