Side-Impact Crash-Test Rating
Highest possible side-impact safety rating (2007 & 2008 models)†
†Five-star ratings are for the front and rear seating positions in the side-impact crash test. Side-impact crash test rating is for a model tested with standard Head Curtain side-impact air bags (SABs). Government star ratings are part of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA's) New Car Assessment Program (www.safercar.gov).

Standard head curtain side air bags
A head curtain side air bag system functions like a protective curtain. These air bags deploy from the vehicle's roof, just above the doors, to help protect front and second-row outboard occupants in certain side-impact collisions. This system also provides roll-over protection by deploying both head curtain side air bags, and the seat belt pretensioners when a roll-over is sensed.†††
†††Head curtain side air bags are designed to help reduce the risk of head and neck injuries to front and rear seat occupants on the near side of certain side-impact collisions. Always use safety belts and correct child restraints for your child's age and size. Even in vehicles equipped with air bags and the Passenger Sensing System, children are safer when properly secured in a rear seat in an appropriate infant, child or booster seat. Never place a rear-facing infant restraint in the front seat of any vehicle equipped with an active frontal air bag. See the vehicle's Owner's Manual and child safety seat instructions for more safety information.
Standard dual-stage frontal air bags
These bags sense the severity of a crash, determine if the air bags should be deployed, and whether a full or less-than-full amount of inflation be used.**
**Always use safety belts and the correct child restraints for your child's age and size. Even in vehicles equipped with air bags and the Passenger Sensing System, children are safer when properly secured in a rear seat in an appropriate infant, child or booster seat. Never place a rear-facing infant restraint in the front seat of any vehicle equipped with an active frontal air bag. See the vehicle's Owner's Manual and child safety seat instructions for more safety information.
Tire Pressure Monitoring System.
The tire pressure monitor alerts you when a significant reduction in pressure occurs in one or more of your vehicle's tires* by illuminating the (low tire pressure) warning light on the instrument panel. The low tire pressure warning light will remain on until you correct the tire pressure. You may also have a CHECK TIRE PRESSURE message appear on the DIC (if equipped).***
***Does not apply to spare tire.
An engineering advancement
StabiliTrak compares steering input with vehicle response and adjusts when needed to help you keep on track and provide added safety.
When the vehicle is not adequately responding to steering input, StabiliTrak applies brake pressure to any individual wheel and may adjust engine speed to help you keep the vehicle on track and reduce the risk of vehicle rollover.

Unlock your doors and start your vehicle.
One push of a button on the key fob unlocks your vehicle doors. Another button allows you to start your vehicle from up to 200 feet away and activate either the heating or air conditioning system before you enter.
