CANYON

Available in both extended- and crew cabs, the base Canyon provides a significant level of standard equipment into an affordable package. Canyon’s muscular exterior forms are accentuated with premium touches, including standard halogen projector headlamps with signature LED accent lighting. 16-inch Ultra Silver metallic aluminum wheels are standard, as is a chrome rear bumper with integrated corner steps.

Inside, Canyon features standard cloth-appointed front bucket seating, and either a folding rear bench in crew cab models or a pair of folding single seats in extended cab models. A rear vision camera and four-way power driver seat are standard. A six-speaker sound system, powered by an AM/ FM stereo with 4.2-inch diagonal color display, USB port1, and auxiliary input is standard, while an uplevel audio system with IntelliLink2– which adds Bluetooth3 hands-free smartphone integration and streaming audio, along with available in-car Onstar 4G Wi-Fi hotspot service4 – is optional on most models.

A 200-horsepower, 2.5-liter direct-injection four-cylinder engine is standard on most models, paired to either a six-speed automatic transmission or, on 2WD extended cab models, a six-speed manual. Four-wheel ABS disc brakes, which utilize corrosion-resistant DuraLifeTM rotors, are standard equipment, as is Stabilitrak, an advanced stability control system. A powerful 305-horsepower, 3.6-liter direct injection V-6 with variable valve timing is optional (see the Canyon page for more information regarding engine availability on specific models). Lastly, all 4WD models include our Autotrac automatic transfer case.

Canyon SLE
The Canyon SLE builds upon Canyon’s impressive list of features with greater use of premium materials and features. Outside, SLE models incorporate standard fog lamps, while chrome belt moldings, body-colored mirror caps and door handles, and a bright front skid plate accent help accentuate Canyon’s handsome appearance. 17-inch Blade Silver aluminum wheels are standard as are power outside mirrors.

Inside, SLE models add a number of premium accents, including a durable, soft-touch instrument panel with contrasting stitching and aluminum trim. SLE models also include a standard 8-inch diagonal color touch screen radio with IntelliLink and in-vehicle 4G Wi-Fi hotspot with a 3 month/3GB trial period as standard equipment. This system also incorporates both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility5. For added convenience, Canyon SLE also includes four USB ports and an EZ-lift and lower tailgate, making one-handed tailgate operation a breeze.

An automatic locking rear differential is standard on all 4WD SLE models. Canyon SLE crew cab models are also available with the new 2.8-liter Duramax Diesel four-cylinder engine. Rated at 181 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, and EPA estimated at 31 mpg highway (2WD models), this engine provides an unique blend of efficiency and power not typically found in the pickup market.

Canyon All Terrain
Available on Canyon SLE models, the All Terrain package combines GMC’s off-road suspension with distinctive styling elements, both inside and out. In order to create a sleek, monochromatic appearance, Canyon All Terrain models feature a body-colored grille surround, along with matching mirror caps, door handles, and rear bumper. All Terrain models also have unique 17-inch Dark Argent cast aluminum wheels as standard equipment.

Inside, unique All Terrain touches include dark aluminum interior accents, along with unique Jet Black cloth heated front seats with carbon fiber pattern bolsters, red accent stitching, and embroidered All Terrain logos. A power passenger front seat is also standard.

All Terrain models pair off-road substance with this unique appearance. True to its name, Canyon All Terrain models include the Z71 Off-Road Suspension Package, all-terrain tires, a transfer case protection plate for four-wheel-drive models, and Hill Descent Control. Two-wheel drive models also include the automatic locking rear differential for added traction on loose surfaces.

Canyon SLT
The Canyon SLT stands apart from other Canyon models by way of chrome-capped heated power mirrors, chrome door handles, and unique split-spoke 18-inch polished cast aluminum wheels. Heated, leather-appointed front seats are standard on SLT models, as is a four-way power passenger seat. The front seats also include power lumbar controls. Other standard SLT features include a sliding rear window, automatic HVAC system and a remote vehicle start system.

Canyon SLT extended cab and crew cab models are equipped with the 3.6-liter direct injection V-6 and six-speed automatic transmission as standard equipment. The 2.8-liter Duramax Diesel is optional on Canyon SLT crew cab models. The automatic locking rear differential is standard on all SLT models.
