With its impressive maneuverability, the GMC TopKick can turn tighter than most full-size pickups and some midsize cars. A set-back axle and a wheelcut of up to 53 degrees allow the C4500/C5500 2WD Regular Cab to turn a full circle in as little as 38.4 feet. The result is a superb turning diameter that makes short work of tight loading areas and parking lots - and can help save the day when a truck is on a tight schedule.

DESIGNED FOR BETTER VISIBILITY

For an added measure of efficiency and safety, we designed a large windshield and a sloped hood that, in C4500/C5500 2WD models, provides a field of forward vision as close as 13 feet from the front bumper - twice as close as the Ford F-450/F-550 2WD.† The result? Your driver sees more of what’s around the truck.

FRAMES ENGINEERED FOR STRENGTH

TopKick's full range of 50,000 to 120,000 psi frames (only 50,000 and 80,000 psi frames available on C4500 model) are engineered with outstanding strength. A standard "C" channel frame is available with an inverted "L" reinforced frame on C6500/ C7500/ C8500 models. Bolt-on rear suspension is now optional on C4500/ C5500/ C6500/ C7500/ C8500.

ABS BRAKES FOR EXTRA SAFETY

The 4-wheel disc, 4-channel ABS brake system is built to last. Big rotors, large brake pads and large swept area help increase the life of the brakes and pads. Standard 4-piston front calipers help increase stopping power. 4-piston rear calipers are standard at GVWRs of 22,000 lbs and above. Air brakes are available on C7500 and standard on C8500. Traction control using ABS sensors is available on all models.
