The Sierra's boxed frame is our strongest ever. Boxed from front to the spare tire area, the frame is stiff both torsionally and in beaming, for a smooth ride.
The front frame section is boxed and hydroformed, which increases structural rigidity by producing more consistent steel-wall thickness. Boxed from front to the spare tire area, the frame has a tight fit at bolting points. The result is isolation from the road and smooth performance on the highway.
