The all-new GMC Acadia Denali brings a unique blend of bold design, premium appointments, versatility, and advanced connectivity to the midsize SUV segment. To help highlight some of the ways Acadia stands apart from other midsize luxury SUVs, we asked Jason Fenske, engineer and star of the “Engineering Explained” YouTube channel, to walk through and explain some of Acadia’s unique features.

EXTERIOR

GMC designers pride themselves on their attention to detail, and that’s extremely evident in Acadia Denali’s exterior design. Acadia Denali models stand apart from other Acadia models thanks not only to a distinctive Denali-exclusive grille, but also unique chrome bodyside molding, matching door handle accents, chromed exhaust tips, and standard 20” polished aluminum wheels.

INTERIOR

Acadia Denali’s focus on precision-executed details is even more noticeable inside its cabin. Step inside, and you’ll immediately notice Denali’s premium appointments, including perforated leather-appointed seating, polished aluminum trim, and authentic wood accents. For the utmost in comfort in colder climates, a heated steering wheel is standard, as are heated and ventilated front seats and heated outboard second-row seats.

SMART SLIDE SEAT

Acadia Denali offers versatile seating for up to seven passengers. Accessing the two positions in the third row of seating can be difficult in some vehicles, but not Acadia. Acadia’s Smart Slide second row seating, allows the passenger side seat to easily tilt and slide forward, providing improved access to the third row.

TRACTION SELECT

Located on the all-new Acadia’s center console, the Traction Select controller allows the driver to optimize Acadia’s driveline and traction control systems to provide peak performance in any situation. Want a little extra pep off the line? Turn to Sport Mode. Facing deep snowfall? Turn to Snow Mode. Towing a trailer? Tow mode is made for you. On Acadia models equipped with available all-wheel drive, Traction Select also allows drivers to manually select two-wheel drive, decoupling the rear axle to optimize efficiency.

APPLE CARPLAY
We know smartphones aren’t just phones – they’re your portable entertainment library, navigation system, and communications hub. GMC has made it easier to incorporate those functions while on the go by equipping Acadia Denali with compatibility for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility which allow select smartphone functions to be displayed within the Intellilink infotainment system’s screen.
