Sourcing is a huge part of my job as a designer. Each day, I hunt down different vendors and subcontractors to help me piece together the many projects I’m working on. Often, this involves hauling samples of flooring, paint, hardware, shingles, and so on. Other times, I also wind up carrying customer furniture pieces and fabrics that have been specified for a home. I have a long list of painters on hand for furniture items that need a fresh coat of paint, a new stain, or some added color with new fabrics. After establishing a direction with my client and scheduling a time to have the work performed, I then wind up transporting the furniture pieces to their renovation.

If the weather is perfect outside, I carry the furniture pieces in my own 2018 Sierra Denali. It has more than enough room in the bed of the truck to haul large items. I appreciate Denali's standard nonskid surface provided by Sierra Denali’s standard spray-on bedliner, and I also love the ability to secure cargo with the tie-down hooks within the pickup box, including four upper-level tie-down hooks that can be repositioned in several different places around the box.

Once the furniture pieces were painted, upholstered and ready for delivery, I was able to pick them up with the new 2019 Yukon Graphite Performance Edition and deliver them to my client.

I put Yukon’s ample cargo space to work – a breeze to do, thanks to the Yukon Graphite Performance Edition’s standard power-folding third-row seat, which folds flat – by loading and carrying the finished dining chairs to my client. I entered her address on Yukon Graphite Performance Edition’s standard 8" diagonal GMC Infotainment System with navigation, and had the system route me across town.

My drive over to the home was as smooth as a dream. The 2019 Yukon Graphite Performance Edition features Magnetic Ride Control as standard equipment which makes quick, precise adjustments to the suspension in order to deliver the perfect blend of handling and comfort.

I love having the peace of mind in knowing I can personally pick up my clients’ furniture pieces and return them in better condition than before. Both Sierra Denali and Yukon Graphite Performance Edition helped me deliver the best result for my clients. To me, that’s truly Professional Grade.
