Bold looks. Refined appointments. Strong capability. Premium performance. These are the hallmarks that have set the GMC Yukon Denali apart from other full-size SUVs for over 20 years now – and they continue to help the GMC Yukon Denali stand out in today’s full-size SUV segment.

In order to take a closer look at the details that truly make the Yukon Denali a premium, professional-grade sport-utility, we asked Jason Fenske, the engineer behind “Engineering Explained,” to help illustrate what makes Yukon Denali so distinctive.

EXTERIOR
Distinctive details help accentuate Yukon Denali’s bold, chiseled exterior form.  Yukon Denali includes high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps that also utilize LED lighting to provide GMC’s C-shaped signature lighting at all hours, while the unique Denali grille and distinctive wheels – including available 22-inch aluminum alloys – help turn heads in the daylight.

INTERIOR
Yukon Denali’s refined design thrives inside. Premium materials, like real, brushed aluminum trim, soft-touch dash trim with contrasting accent stitching, perforated leather-appointed seating, and other unique touches easily set Denali apart from other SUVs. Those upscale appointments are paired with advanced technology, including a number of safety technologies like Forward Collison Alert, Lane Keep Assist, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

QUIET CABIN
Yukon Denali’s interior was designed from square one to be intrinsically quiet. Inlaid doors, along with triple-layer door seals and acoustically laminated windshield and front window glass, helps keep wind noise from intruding into the cabin. Yukon Denali’s standard Bose Centerpoint audio system also incorporates Active Noise Reduction, which works to further tune out unwanted noise from the cabin under certain conditions.

KEYLESS ENTRY
Hands full of cargo? No need to fish for your key fob in order to lock or unlock your Yukon Denali. With the key fob in your pocket, place your hand on a door handle, and Yukon Denali will automatically cycle the power door locks. Yukon Denali goes a step further by offering a standard Hands Free Power Rear Liftgate, which can be opened and closed by kicking a foot underneath the rear bumper.

APPLE CARPLAY
We know smartphones aren’t just phones – they’re your portable entertainment library, navigation system, and communications hub. GMC has made it easier to incorporate those functions by equipping Yukon Denali with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility which allows select smartphone functions to be displayed within the Intellilink2 infotainment system’s screen.
