PREMIUM CABIN COMFORT

Details make the difference when it comes to GMC design – and that’s especially true within Yukon’s interior. Thanks to a wide variety of upscale materials, like brushed aluminum accents, soft-touch materials on the door and instrument panels, and real wood trim on Yukon Denali models, Yukon’s interior is as stylish and sophisticated, and inviting as its exterior.

Fittingly, Yukon’s cabin is also as comfortable as it looks. Standard tri-zone automatic climate controls allow the driver, front passenger, and rear passengers to select their own temperature settings, which can further be supplemented with heated front and second-row outboard seats, which are available on SLT and Yukon Denali.

Sharing driving duties with another? A power-adjustable tilt/telescoping steering column, along with power adjustable pedals, helps each driver find the perfect fit behind the wheel, while available Memory Seat functionality allows seat, steering column, and mirror settings to be stored and recalled at the push of a button.

INTERIOR CAPABILITY

Whether you’re carrying family, friends, groceries, sports equipment, luggage, or other cargo, Yukon’s interior is as functional as it is stylish. With standard seating for eight passengers – and available seating for up to nine on Yukon SLE models - there’s plenty of seating space. Yukon XL goes a step further, giving third-row passengers up to 34.5 inches of legroom.

Need to focus on cargo? No problem. Yukon can haul up to 94.7 cubic feet – 121.7 cubic feet in Yukon XL – with second and third-row seats folded into a flat load floor. Yukon SLT and Yukon Denali makes folding those seats even easier with power-release second-row seating and a power-folding third-row.

When you’re done hauling cargo, Yukon Denali’s third row seats can even be folded back up with the push of a button.

We know you often have your hands full as parents – sometimes quite literally, with groceries, luggage, briefcases, bookbags, or other belongings. Yukon Denali can make loading or unloading cargo easy, thanks to its Hands-Free Power Programmable Rear Liftgate. By kicking a foot underneath the rear bumper, you can open or close the power liftgate without needing to juggle whatever you’re carrying in order to reach for a keyfob in a purse or pocket. Additionally, it can be set to open at varying heights, allowing you to avoid low-hanging obstacles in a parking structure or your own garage.

SMART STORAGE

Just like at home, clever organization and storage within a vehicle can help keep belongings organized and clutter to a minimum. Fortunately, Yukon’s interior includes a number of smartly-designed storage areas, perfect for stashing your gear while on the go. Yukon’s center console not only incorporates small cubbies within the front footwells, but also provides a deep storage area beneath the armrest, which even has provisions for hanging file folders.  Both front and rear door panels incorporate pockets and small shelves, perfect for stashing personal items away when not needed. Even the GMC Infotainment System’s 8-inch diagonal touch screen can slide up with the touch of a button, revealing a storage cubby that’s perfect for stashing a smart phone or other mobile device. Head back to Yukon’s cargo hold, and you’ll find a standard under-floor cargo management system, which can help keep items organized.

ACTIVE SAFETY TECHNOLOGIES
Additionally, Yukon offers a wide array of safety features designed to not only to help protect passengers in case of a collision, but to help drivers avoid one altogether.

The Enhanced Driver Alert package, which is available on Yukon SLE and standard on Yukon SLT Standard Edition, Yukon SLT, and Yukon Denali, includes a number of active safety technologies, including:

  • IntelliBeam automated headlamp control, which can automatically turn high-beam headlamps on when it is dark enough, and turn them off when another vehicle is approaching
  • Forward Collision Alert, which can warn drivers of a possible front-end collision with a detected vehicle they are following
  • Low Speed Forward Automatic Braking, which can help avoid or reduce collision severity by enhancing braking or automatically applying brakes if the driver has not already done so when a potential front-end collision situation is detected
  • Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, which can provide gentle steering wheel input to help keep the vehicle in a lane.  If necessary, it can also provide warnings if the driver unintentionally drifts out of their lane when the turn signal is not activated.
  • Safety Alert Seat, which uses pulsing driver seat vibrations on either side of the seat cushion to intuitively communicate the direction of a possible collision threat.

Yukon SLT and Yukon Denali also offer an available Adaptive Cruise Control – Advanced system, which works in conjunction with the Forward Automatic Braking system to enhance regular cruise control with radar, allowing drivers to automatically follow the vehicle ahead at a selected following gap while they continue to steer.

Additionally, the Rear Cross Traffic Alert system on Yukon SLT and Yukon Denali provides alerts when the vehicle is in Reverse in order to help the driver avoid detected cross-traffic approaching from the left or right side of the vehicle. Rear Cross Traffic can be particularly helpful in parking situations if vehicles or other obstructions block the driver’s vision.

Remember, safety or driver assistance features are no substitute for the driver's responsibility to operate the vehicle in a safe manner. The driver should remain attentive to traffic, surroundings and road conditions at all times. Visibility, weather, and road conditions may affect feature performance. Read the vehicle's owner's manual for more important feature limitations and information.

REAR SEAT REMINDER AND TEEN DRIVER TECHNOLOGIES
Yukon is equipped with GMC’s Rear Seat Reminder feature, which aims to give drivers an extra prompt to check the rear seats before exiting the vehicle. Although Rear Seat Reminder does not actually detect passengers or objects in the rear seats, it monitors Yukon’s rear doors under certain conditions. If one is opened and closed within ten minutes of the engine starting – or if they are opened and closed while the vehicle is running – Rear Seat Reminder can provide an audible and visual reminder to the driver once the vehicle is turned off. You should always check your rear seat before exiting the vehicle.

Families with teens reaching legal driving age may find Yukon’s standard Teen Driver Technology a useful tool for helping to impart safe habits upon new drivers. When activated, Teen Driver allows GMC owners to program a key fob which when used can limit certain vehicle features and prevent certain safety systems from being switched off. Additionally, an in-vehicle report card can provide details like distance driven, maximum speed, and other driving events, providing parents with useful information for coaching their new driver.

KEEP CONNECTED AND CHARGED

Keeping in touch while on the go is more important than ever – fortunately, Yukon has you covered with a wide array of available features that help you stay connected.

To start, Yukon’s standard GMC Infotainment system includes standard Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto compatibility, allowing you to leverage the power of your smartphone and select apps through voice commands and Yukon’s own physical controls. Additionally, Yukon incorporates an available 4G LTE Wi-Fi® Hotspot, which can provide connectivity for up to seven devices, allowing passengers to check email, post to social media, or browse the Web.

Yukon also offers up to five 12-volt power outlets throughout the cabin (including some conveniently placed for second- and third-row passengers), but also up to seven USB ports, along with an available 110-volt outlet. Yukon Denali also incorporates an inductive wireless charging pad within the center console armrest that can charge select Qi/Powermat-compatible devices.

REAR-SEAT ENTERTAINMENT
Need to keep passengers happy during a long drive? Yukon’s available rear-seat entertainment systems can keep them entertained. Available on Yukon SLT Standard Edition, Yukon SLT, and Yukon Denali, this BluRay/DVD system not only incorporates a 9.2” diagonal LCD display (Yukon XL models include a second screen), along with a remote control and wireless headphones. The system also includes a pair of USB inputs, an HDMI input – perfect for bringing along a video game system – and Wi-Fi-based streaming capability, allowing movies and other digital media located on mobile devices to be “projected” on screen.
