In the toughest, tightest contest yet, the No. 99 SEGI TV GMC HUMMER EV.R and the other Extreme E off-road monsters hit the ground racing as the Italian isle of Sardinia hosted the Enel X Island X Prix.

Sardinia’s raw, rugged terrain was a formidable foe for the vehicles’ off-roading chops. But let’s hear directly from people with the best views of the race.

No. 99 Driver Sara Price: "We started well, winning our semifinal race and earning a spot in the final. We knew the speed was there in our truck and Kyle ran a good first lap to get a big gap coming into the switch for the final lap. We moved a step closer to our goal of getting on a podium, we’ll take what we learned into the final race of the year.”

No. 99 Driver Kyle LeDuc: “We had a commanding lead to start the final lap. Once I got off the line I used hyperdrive to get out in front of Sebastien Loeb in X44. The HUMMER EV.R felt really solid. We had a great race going. But just wasn’t meant to be. Lots of positives during the weekend with our first semis win and our best finish to date.”

The Extreme E race series closes out 2021 with the upcoming Jurassic X Prix in Bovington, on the south coast of England.
