2016 Yukon Full-Size SUV: Tailored Trim Levels

Three Yukon variations let you pick the Yukon that best fits your needs, while still delivering the elevated design, premium craftsmanship, and precision engineering that exemplifies GMC.

Nothing in life is truly “one-size-fits-all,” especially when it comes to full-size SUVs. GMC offers the 2016 Yukon in three distinctive variants – Yukon SLE, Yukon SLT, and Yukon Denali – so you can find a vehicle that’s truly tailored to your needs and tastes. While each variant offers a different blend of standard content, all Yukon models exemplify the design excellence, craftsmanship and precision engineering, and advanced thinking expected of a GMC.

YUKON SLE: Yukon SLE accentuates its strong, sculpted exterior with a three-dimensional grille insert with chrome surround, projector-beam headlamps with GMC signature LED lighting, and standard fog lamps. 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels are standard, while 20- and 22-inch wheels are available for an even bolder presence.

As a three-row SUV, Yukon SLE provides standard seating for eight passengers, including standard cloth-trimmed front-bucket seats, a 60/40 split second-row bench seat, and a flat-folding 60/40 split third-row bench. Yukon SLE is also available with an optional front bench seat, expanding seating to nine passengers.

Yukon SLE’s 4.2-inch diagonal color Driver Information Center, located in the middle of the instrument cluster, keeps the driver apprised of pertinent information and provides convenient access to audio, phone, and available navigation functions (if properly equipped). GMC’s IntelliLink1 infotainment system, complete with an eight-inch diagonal color touchscreen interface, is standard on Yukon SLE, as is a Bose Premium Sound System. IntelliLink provides advanced connectivity features, including Bluetooth phone pairing, text message alerts, and both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto2 phone compatibility. An in-vehicle available 4G Wi-Fi hotspot3 allows for additional mobile data connectivity.

Yukon SLE models are available in both two- or four-wheel drive versions. A 355-horsepower, 5.3-liter V-8 is standard with either drive type, as is a six-speed automatic transmission and an automatic locking rear differential.

YUKON SLT: The Yukon SLT builds upon the SLE with elevated luxuries and advanced technologies. Getting in and out of Yukon SLT is eased by way of standard Keyless Open and Start, which allows the driver to lock or unlock the vehicle without fishing through pockets or purses for a key fob, and simply push a button to start or stop the engine. A standard hands-free power rear liftgate, which activates when a foot motion is detected beneath the rear bumper, is another convenient touch.

Inside, Yukon SLT models offer standard perforated leather-appointed seating, along with heated and ventilated 12-way power front seats and heated second-row outboard seats. A heated steering wheel is also standard equipment, as are power-adjustable pedals and a power tilt/telescopic steering column.

Yukon SLT’s second-row seats – either the standard 60/40 split bench or the available bucket seats – are equipped with a power release fold-and tumble function. In conjunction with Yukon SLT’s standard power-folding third-row, these features make lowering seats for cargo easier.

Building upon Yukon SLE’s suite of advanced connectivity features, Yukon SLT goes a step further by integrating a wireless charging4 pad into its center console lid, allowing compatible phones and mobile devices to recharge without needing to plug in a charger.

Yukon SLT also includes Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Forward Collision Alert, Lane Keep Assist, and the Safety Alert Seat as standard equipment. IntelliBeam headlamps, which automatically dim high-beams when oncoming traffic is detected, are also standard on SLT models.

YUKON DENALI: The Yukon Denali remains the pinnacle of GMC’s professional-grade SUV lineup, offering performance and panache that set it apart from other premium SUVs.

Externally, the Yukon Denali delivers a handsome appearance, thanks to its signature design details. A trademark honeycomb grille is exclusive to Denali, as are standard HID projector beam headlamps, bright accents on the door handles and roof rails, and 20-inch ultrabright machined aluminum wheels. Power illuminated retractable assist steps, which deploy to aid entry and egress and retract when not needed to provide a clean exterior look, are available only on Yukon Denali.

Inside, Denali-exclusive touches include authentic burnished aluminum trim accents, and an eight-inch Customizable Driver Display. A Bose Centerpoint surround sound audio system is standard, and incorporates Active Noise Cancellation technology to further isolate road noise. IntelliLink with navigation is standard on Yukon Denali, and an advanced color head-up display is available.

Yukon Denali also incorporates advanced technologies designed to deliver unrivaled power, performance and refinement while on the road. A standard 6.2-liter V-8, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, delivers 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Magnetic Ride Control, also standard on Denali, analyzes the road surface up to 1000 times a second and tunes the suspension to deliver the best combination of ride comfort and handling.
