2016 GMC Sierra: Tailored Looks For Every Trim Level

New design cues and unique elements allow each 2016 Sierra trim level to stand apart with its own look, feel, and attitude.

The new Sierra Elevation isn’t the only 2016 GMC Sierra to exude a bold, commanding presence – from the work-ready Sierra, the surprisingly premium SLE, the highly-appointed SLT, the off-road oriented All Terrain, and the top-shelf Denali, each iteration of the 2016 Sierra is visually distinctive from one another, allowing you to pick the full-size pickup truck that looks and feels most tailored to your needs.

Regardless of trim level, each new 2016 Sierra incorporates styling cues that hint at the advanced technology and mechanical fortitude found underneath the surface. All 2016 Sierra 1500 pickups not only sport new, muscular front bumpers, but a bold new fascia and grille – the latter flanked by all-new headlamps that are stylish both day and night, thanks to new GMC signature LED lighting accents, which helps make all Sierras distinctive, even in the dark

The Sierra SLE model builds upon that solid foundation, accentuating the Sierra’s bold forms with tasteful ornamentation. A chromed grille insert provides an attractive frame for the grille – which sports chrome-accented rectangular patterns – and pairs neatly with the chrome front bumper. The new front bumper is more sculpted than before, and neatly integrates the newly available LED fog lamps, if so equipped.

The Sierra SLT goes a step further with additional details that catch eyes and turn heads. A distinct grille insert not only incorporates a unique rectangular pattern, but each grille element in turn features knurled detailed elements for a distinguished, machined finish. In addition to standard LED fog lamps, Sierra SLT models also feature new LED tail lamps as standard equipment, which incorporate distinctive light signatures that echo those found in the headlamps. On that note, Sierra SLT owners can also opt for the available new high-performance LED headlamps, which leverage the power of LED technology for both low- and high-beam headlight patterns. 18-inch polished aluminum wheels are standard, as are chrome door handles, chrome mirror caps, chrome tow bodyside moldings, and a chrome front skid plate.

The off-road oriented 2016 Sierra All Terrain package, available on 2016 Sierra SLE and SLT double- and crew-cab trucks, drastically changes the Sierra’s look and feel. Monochromatic bumpers and grille surround provide a sporty, unified look, while a unique grille insert with black chrome accents further helps set the All-Terrain apart. Polished 18-inch aluminum wheels are standard, while an All Terrain Plus package, available on SLT models, includes 20-inch wheels with painted pockets. The All Terrain backs up its brawny looks with impressive hardware, too – the Z71 off-road package, which includes protective underbody shielding, Hill Descent Control and off-road tuned Rancho shocks -- is included with the All Terrain package.

Since its inception in 1999, the Denali line has always brought an unsurpassed level of elegance and sophistication to the GMC portfolio. The 2016 Sierra Denali doesn’t stray from that tradition – rather, it takes it to new heights. Standard full-LED headlamps flank a chrome grille surround and a unique three-bar grille insert, which utilizes an all-new pattern with beveled chrome elements. These elements work together to reflect light and turn heads from any angle, much like the standard 20-inch machined aluminum wheels. Monochromatic bumpers are standard, while the front bumper is accented with a chrome front skid plate. A spray-in bedliner, accented with a three-dimensional Denali logo on the leading bed wall, is standard equipment. Additionally, a new power-articulated running board is available, which features a unique mechanism that allows it to function as both a running board and a bedside step.
