GMC LIFE
WHAT SETS GMC AT4X AEV EDITION TRUCKS APART?
GMC sets a high standard for off-road performance, but for adventurers who demand more, we teamed up with American Expedition Vehicles® (AEV) to push the boundaries even further. The GMC AT4X AEV Edition, available on Sierra 1500, Sierra 2500 HD and Canyon, elevates off-road performance with specialized equipment designed for the most challenging terrains.
GROUND CLEARANCE
The GMC AT4X AEV Edition offers more ground clearance than non-lifted 4WD models and AEV Salta wheels to give you confidence when navigating rocks, ruts and uneven surfaces.
Sierra 1500 AT4X AEV Edition:
This model gets a boost to 11.4 inches of ground clearance, to help you clear most trail hazards.
Sierra 2500 HD AT4X AEV Edition:
The heavy-duty GMC AEV truck boasts 11.8 inches of ground clearance. This extra height is critical for maneuvering over demanding terrain.
Canyon AT4X AEV Edition:
Though a mid-size truck, the Canyon AT4X AEV Edition has best-in-class
APPROACH, DEPARTURE AND BREAKOVER ANGLES
Aggressive approach, departure and breakover angles are essential for climbing steep inclines and descending without damaging the AEV-stamped front and rear steel bumpers.
Sierra 1500 AT4X AEV Edition:
Features an improved front approach angle of 34 degrees (more than non-lifted 4WD models) and matching departure and breakover angles of 24.4 degrees
Sierra 2500 HD AT4X AEV Edition:
This truck offers an approach angle of 29.8 degrees, a departure angle of 25.7 degrees and a breakover angle of 22.6 degrees. The AEV heavy-duty, stamped-steel, powder-coated front and rear bumpers offer added protection while conquering boulders and rough terrain.
Canyon AT4X AEV Edition:
Canyon boasts an impressive front approach angle of 38.2 degrees, a departure angle of 26.0 degrees and a breakover angle of 26.9 degrees, making it exceptionally capable on the most challenging trails.
SKID PLATE COVERAGE
When the trail gets tough, skid plates are essential. The GMC AT4X AEV Edition features hot-stamped boron steel AEV skid plates, which are more than 3.5 times stronger than equivalent cold-stamped steel. This rugged underbody protection helps protect critical components from rocks, stumps and other hazards.
Sierra 1500 AT4X AEV Edition:
Five hot-stamped boron steel AEV skid plates provide protection for the front end, independent front suspension, transfer case, fuel tank and rear differential.
Sierra 2500 HD AT4X AEV Edition:
Stamped-steel skid plates help keep vital components such as the steering gear and the transfer case protected from ruts, rocks and more.
Canyon AT4X AEV Edition:
Five AEV hot-stamped boron steel skid plates on the radiator, steering gear, transmission and transfer case, fuel tank and differential help protect Canyon from challenges on the trail.
