Updates can range from the latest in-vehicle app improvements, available Super Cruise™† driver assistance technology road expansion to connectivity updates and other tech refinements and upgrades. Accepting these updates is crucial to help maintain your vehicle’s connectivity and functionality.
DELIVERING UPDATES TO YOUR VEHICLE
Thanks to over-the-air technology, you’re able to upgrade your vehicle software from home. Software updates are simple and convenient — and can be installed right from your driveway at a time that works best for you.
All you need is a Wi-Fi®† connection or your vehicle’s built-in data connection. A paid data plan is not required if you are connected to Wi-Fi. If there is an available software update for your vehicle, you will receive an in-vehicle notification on your center display. Once you’ve accepted the software update, you can install it right away or schedule for it to be completed at a later time that works best for you.
Once the update is initiated, there’s nothing more you need to do. Just make sure your vehicle is parked in a safe and secure location during the update. You do not need to remain in your vehicle during the installation.
