IDENTIFYING THE CHARGING STATUS INDICATOR LIGHT
A light on the top/center of your EV’s instrument panel helps drivers identify the charging status of their EV. Here’s how to avoid any confusion about what a light in this location means.
WHAT DOES THIS LIGHT ON MY EV’S INSTRUMENT PANEL MEAN?
A light located on the top/center of your EV’s instrument panel will light up, flash or pulse for different reasons, depending on the circumstances.
When the vehicle is off and connected to a home or public charging station, the different colors and sequences of this light help you monitor the charging process. These are the lights you may see:
- Solid blue: The vehicle has successfully connected to the charger.
- Pulsing blue: The vehicle is connected and set to perform a delayed charge.
- Flashing green: The vehicle is connected and the battery is charging.
- Solid green: The vehicle is finished charging.
- Flashing red: There is an error with the vehicle or charging station. Learn how to troubleshoot charging interruptions.
NOTE: While the vehicle is off and not connected to a home or public charging station, the light will periodically flash red to indicate that the vehicle’s Theft Deterrent System is active.
You can also confirm your vehicle’s state of charge with the Charging icon in the Driver Information Center or by viewing its status in your vehicle’s mobile app.
For your security, please don’t include personal info such as phone number, address or credit card details.
