HOW TO USE YOUR FRONT SEAT VIDEO PLAYER

Difficulty Level: Intermediate  |  Time Required: 10 minutes  |  Tools Required: None  |  Related Parts, Products, Service or Technology: None

If your vehicle has a Front Seat Video Player, it lets you stream video from Hulu† on the infotainment screen† while your vehicle is in PARK. It’s a great option for entertainment in situations when you’re waiting in your vehicle, such as at an EV charging station.

USING YOUR FRONT SEAT VIDEO PLAYER

Your vehicle must be in PARK and must be ON or in ACCESSORY mode while you’re using the Front Seat Video Player. To view content from Hulu, you’ll need a subscription with that provider. You’ll also need an OnStar† plan that includes unlimited data†.

  1. To begin, tap the MY GMC STUDIO icon on the Home screen.
  2. Tap the HULU icon. If you aren’t in PARK, the icon will be grayed out, and you won’t be able to select it.
  3. You’ll be asked to agree to Terms and Conditions for Front Seat Video Player and also for Hulu. Vehicle Location must be enabled in your vehicle’s Settings menu.
  4. Log in to your Hulu account.
    • If you have an existing Hulu account, you can log in with your username and password to access your personalized features.
    • If you don’t have an account, it’s recommended you use your phone or computer to set up the account on the Hulu website. You can also create one by following the prompts on the infotainment screen.
    • The first time you sign in, you’ll see a QR code and device activation code that will let you activate your vehicle as a device on your Hulu account.
  5. Once you’re logged in, you can browse shows, movies and other content to begin streaming, just as you would if you were using the streaming app on your phone or smart TV.
  6. When you begin streaming, the audio will be played through your vehicle’s speaker system.
    • If you receive an incoming phone call on your infotainment system, the content will pause and the audio will mute while you answer the call.

If you shift out of PARK at any time, the system will be disabled.

You can clear your streaming cache by resetting the Front Seat Video Player app through the Settings menu.

For your security, please don’t include personal info such as phone number, address or credit card details.
