Drivers Sara Price and Kyle LeDuc and their No. 99 GMC HUMMER EV.R Chip Ganassi Racing travelled to Sardinia, Italy, for this year’s Extreme E Island X Prix.

They returned home with their first victory.

They topped the leaderboard in both practices and faced tough going during qualifying. But they secured their fortunes by winning the Crazy Race, setting themselves up for victory in the final.

THE WINNERS TELL IT BEST

“We were consistent and pushed through the final race to get our first win. It was such a team effort all around; I’m so proud of everyone. We made serious progress this week.”

- Sara Price

“We went from first in practice to last in qualifying and back to first as the race winners. It was a rollercoaster ride. We have a great GMC HUMMER EV team where everyone works so hard. We’re ready to take this success and apply it to the next race.”

- Kyle LeDuc

Sara also earned another first. She’s the first-ever female race winner in Chip Ganassi Racing’s legendary list of victors.

A production version of the HUMMER EV Edition 1 Pickup was at the race—as it will be at all Extreme E contests—to show support for its racing sibling.
