ABOUT MAGNETIC RIDE CONTROL
Learn how Magnetic Ride Control enhances your driving experience by automatically adjusting vehicle suspension.
MAGNETIC RIDE CONTROL
Magnetic Ride Control is an adaptive suspension system designed to improve your driving comfort and vehicle handling. By adapting suspension settings in real time, it provides a smoother ride over various road surfaces and during sharp turns.
HOW MAGNETIC RIDE CONTROL WORKS
If equipped, Magnetic Ride Control detects steering inputs and uses accelerometers near the wheels to read road conditions up to 1,000 times per second. This data triggers electromagnets to adjust the shock absorbers’ fluid, either stiffening or softening the shocks to maintain optimal tire contact with the road.
Different drive modes also affect how Magnetic Ride Control responds:
- Normal/Tour Mode: Offers a softer suspension for maximum comfort.
- Sport Mode: Provides increased stiffness for better handling.
