HOW TO USE ENERGY PASS

Energy Pass™ is a feature of the vehicle mobile app* that  helps you manage charging* across multiple networks. Learn how you can use it to enable Plug & Charge for instant sessions at participating stations, locate public charging stations, start sessions and pay seamlessly.

HOW ENERGY PASS WORKS

Energy Pass streamlines the public charging process by eliminating the need for multiple public charging station apps. Instead, you can use the Energy Pass feature in your vehicles mobile app* to locate, use and pay for charging at thousands of charging stations across the United States and Canada, including networks like IONNA, Electrify America, Supercharger*, and more on the way, including ChargePoint.

In addition to providing easy access to a growing number of charging stations, Energy Pass also allows you to:

  • Use Plug & Charge functionality for instant charging at compatible stations.
  • View your vehicle’s available battery level.
  • Set a Target Charge Level by battery percentage or time limit.
  • Review your recent charging details, including location, duration and cost, in Transaction History.
  • Enjoy promotional* DC fast charging rates at select locations.

Q&As

Can I charge at a Supercharger with Energy Pass?

Yes. If your GM EV is equipped with a NACS charge port, or if you have a GM-approved adapter, Energy Pass will allow you to charge at a Supercharger* without creating a separate Supercharger account.

Can I still use Energy Pass if I don’t have an approved NACS charging adapter?

Yes. Energy Pass can be used to charge all GM EVs. However, GM EVs equipped with a CCS1 port must have a GM-approved adapter to use Supercharger* or other NACS charging stations.
