ABOUT VEHICLE MAINTENANCE SCHEDULES

Regular maintenance is essential for the longevity and reliability of your GMC vehicle. Maintenance schedules are typically based on mileage, and services range from routine inspections to fluid changes and the replacement of belts, filters and other parts.

GMC VEHICLE MAINTENANCE

The following provides a general overview of maintenance information that applies to all GMC vehicles. For a detailed maintenance schedule tailored to your specific vehicle, please consult your Owner’s Manual.

ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

  • Oil and Filter Change: Change every 7,500 miles or as indicated by your vehicle's Oil Life System.

  • Tire Rotation: Rotate tires every 7,500 miles to ensure even wear.

  • Wiper Blades: Inspect seasonally and replace as needed.

  • Multi-Point Vehicle Inspection: Performed during service visits to check key systems.

MAINTENANCE BY MILEAGE

In addition to continuing the routine maintenance mentioned above, it is recommended to schedule the following services for your GMC vehicle at the specified mileage intervals.

12,000–30,000 Miles:

  • Brake System Inspection

  • Engine and Cabin Air Filter Replacement

  • Fuel System Inspection

30,000–60,000 Miles:

  • Tire Replacement

  • Battery Replacement

  • Coolant Flush

  • Brake Pad and Rotor Replacement

60,000–90,000 Miles:

  • Belts and Hoses Replacement

  • Transmission Service

  • Shocks and Struts Service

90,000+ Miles:

  • Timing Belt Replacement

  • Spark Plug Replacement
