With the right blend of smart capability, convenience, and connectivity, the GMC Sierra 1500 can make a great vehicle for a trip, be it for a day, a weekend getaway, or something longer. Learn how you can leverage Sierra 1500’s refined capability for your next day trip in the interactive video below.

FINDING YOUR WAY
If the journey is truly as important as the destination itself, then a good route – and even better navigation – is a crucial element of any good trip. Fortunately, getting navigation from your smart phone to your GMC’s  infotainment system is easy, thanks in part to available Android Auto and Apple Car Play compatibility.

STAYING CHARGED…
If you need to keep your smartphone charged while on the go but may not have a charging cable handy, Sierra 1500’s available wireless charging feature can help you eliminate the cord altogether, if your device or device case is compatible with PMA 1.0, WPC 1.0, or WPC 1.1 charging standards.

If your Sierra is running or in accessory (“ACC”) mode, simply place your device face-up on the charging pad integrated into the lid of the center console. Make sure no other objects are placed on the charging surface. Check your phone’s display to confirm it is charging.

…AND STAYING CONNECTED…
While it’s fun to get away from it all, sometimes you need to stay connected. Sierra 1500’s available built-in Wi-Fi hotspot can allow passengers to stream media, check social media channels, send email, and tackle other activities wherever you are.

COVER UP YOUR CARGO
A pickup bed is an incredibly versatile tool – and it becomes even more so when used in conjunction with a tonneau cover. The Hard Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover, available as an accessory on Sierra 1500, provides durable protection to cargo yet can easily be folded away to carry large items.
