I will be the first to admit that my husband and I are both avid car people. We’re always keen to read up on the latest designs, the lush interiors, and the perpetually-changing technology inside cars and trucks. That said, while we enjoy brushing up on the latest details, we completely understand how the research process can be intimidating for many shoppers looking to purchase a new truck, crossover, or SUV. Fortunately, GMC’s web site strikes the perfect balance, delivering the information we were looking for in order to feel confident in our purchase.

We set to buy a new vehicle a few months back. Knowing that we needed to look for a pickup, we began to research online various qualities that were important to us, such as towing capacity, interior storage, and everyday convenience.

By starting out online with GMC’s website, the buying process was off to a simple and smooth start. Being able to sit in the comfort of our own home and talk together about what we both need and want out of this new truck on our terms and our time is incredibly convenient as opposed to trying to sort that out in an instant while standing on a dealer lot.

I scoured through the GMC website to read about various features and details that we might want in our next vehicle. Next, I went to GMC’s build your own tool to configure a truck online to our ideal specifications. I was able to select and hover over different options, finding out more details for each option and accessory. After I had selected everything I wanted and the truck was built, I was able to find several dealers in my area that had trucks that fit the description and the price.

We walked in the sales lot of our local GMC dealership for just a bit, checking out several Sierras that feasibly delivered what we were looking for.  Once we found the vehicle that lined up with what we had built on GMC's website, we were able to test drive that truck to make sure that it had everything that we had selected online and met our expectations.

The test drive couldn't have gone better. We were able to drive the Sierra Denali in town, on the highway and back to our house, double checking the fit of the truck in our garage. We quickly fell in love with the smooth ride of the Sierra Denali, the cabin space for the family and cargo space for our dog and gear. The 8" diagonal color touch screen and smartphone connectivity were huge selling points because of our busy work lives. The available in-car Wi-Fi hotspot was the icing on the cake. Our kids were insanely excited about being able to stay connected on trips, and I love being able to have the option to work when on the road. The Sierra Denali purchase was one of our easiest car purchases ever. It couldn’t have gone better. We have loved having a truck to be able to tow our boat, use for work and DIY'ing and I have fallen in love how easy the pickup is getting around town and using it as our everyday transportation.
