YUKON AT4: THE PREMIUM SUV FOR BLAZING A NEW TRAIL

FOUR WHEELER'S 2021 SUV of the Year
Whether you’re racking up highway miles or traversing off-road terrain, it’s clear that Yukon AT4 has a special type of versatility. Ultimately, its dynamic off-road features, boundless comfort and classy styling helped lead Yukon to the prize. Visit FOURWHEELER.com to read more.
Leaving behind pavement for undisturbed landscapes, steep inclines and muddy dips requires rugged capability. Tackling those challenges without sacrificing interior refinement and technology — that requires professional grade craftsmanship unique to GMC’s First Ever Yukon AT4.
As the latest addition to GMC’s lineup of AT4 vehicles, Yukon AT4 ratchets up the off-road experience by combining premium amenities with rugged features to offer the most off-road-capable Yukon ever.
Building on the bold, commanding presence of the Next Generation 2021 Yukon, the AT4 trim is available for both Yukon and Yukon XL. It sets itself apart with distinct visual cues, genuine off-road ability and innovative technology to help you keep exploring.
CAPABILITY MEETS COMFORT
Inside and out, Yukon AT4 expresses confidence and athleticism in every detail, signaling an SUV doesn’t need to forgo refinement for true capability.
With a tall, proud stance, Yukon AT4’s front fascia features a grille in a dark chrome finish and a gloss black front bumper. Beyond communicating physical strength, the unique front end is designed specifically for a more desirable, 32-degree front approach angle when climbing steep grades.
Other functional elements integrated into the front are horizontal torch-red recovery hooks† and skid plate. The updated signature C-shaped LED headlamps, meanwhile, have a unique laser-etched texture.
Adding to its dark, capable appearance are black roof rails and assist steps, 20-inch six-spoke machined-aluminum wheels with Carbon Gray Metallic accents and 20-inch Goodyear® all-terrain tires for improved traction when driving off-road.
On the inside, Yukon AT4’s sporty interior is punctuated by dark, brushed aluminum accents and premium materials, providing comfort without compromise for active lifestyles.
The standard perforated leather-appointed seating in the first and second rows have Brandy accent stitching and color-coordinated cutouts, as well as AT4-logo-embroidered head restraints. The steering wheel, first-row buckets, standard second-row power release bench and available second-row bucket outboard seats are all heated. The unique AT4 floor mats and bright door sill plates accentuate AT4’s reputation for fusing off-road durability and premium styling.
Roomier than previous Yukon models, the spacious interior also gives you ample space to carry cargo, like luggage or outdoor sporting equipment; making Yukon AT4’s cabin as versatile as it is inviting. The cargo hold can even be expanded via the third-row power-folding bench seat, which easily folds flat for a larger cargo hold.
When adventuring with Yukon AT4, you can keep smaller items like keys, a wallet or cellphone out of sight with the available class-leading power sliding center console†. By pressing and holding down a switch, the console slides back up to 10 inches. When the vehicle is in valet mode, a drawer under the main console storage is rendered inaccessible. The sliding console not only provides enhanced flexibility for storing and securing contents, but also makes the back cupholders and rear console controls more accessible to passengers in the second row when it is slid backward.
BUILT FOR ADVENTURE
When the going gets tough, Yukon AT4 has been engineered to feature the genuine off-road ability needed to tackle the rough terrain.
The standard 5.3L EcoTec V8 engine (355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque) is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission that offers smooth power delivery in a variety of driving situations. AT4’s AutoTrac® 2-speed transfer case with low-range gearing helps provide additional torque for powering up steep obstacles.
The all-new available Active Response 4WD™ System† also gives you greater confidence in slick or off-road conditions. The system is fully integrated into Yukon AT4, so it automatically and seamlessly detects the wheels with most grip and then sends the torque to where it’s needed most.
For descending steep grades, Yukon AT4 has Hill Descent Control. This leverages anti-lock braking technology to assist with a more smooth, controlled descent on uneven terrain to help the driver with not needing to repeatedly push the brake pedal.
To help give greater ground clearance and keep you moving, the first-in-class available four-corner Air Ride Adaptive Suspension† has variable-rate air springs that allow you to select the ride height. While engaged, Yukon AT4 can be raised by 1 inch in “Increased Ground Clearance” mode or 2 inches when in “Maximum Ground Clearance mode.” The underside is offered further protection by skid plates to help shield components from debris.
Finally, adding refinement to the driving experience is the Magnetic Ride Control®, which has not only been enhanced to provide greater performance but is tuned to complement the Air Ride Adaptive Suspension. So even while the system is engaged for greater ground clearance, Magnetic Ride Control is reading the surface of the road every millisecond to adapt and adjust the suspension and damper settings in real time. These enhancements mean Yukon AT4 delivers a smooth and refined ride whether you’re on- or off-road.
INNOVATIVE OFF-ROAD TECHNOLOGY

Blazing a new trail means not always knowing what lies ahead. However, with a suite of available technologies on AT4, your Yukon is advanced enough to help you handle even the toughest of obstacles.
With its available class-leading 15-inch diagonal multicolor Head-Up Display†, key data about the vehicle is projected on the windshield that can be customized to suit your needs. This includes an off-road inclinometer that shows the fore-and-aft tilt, front tire angle, and left-and-right tilt.
When navigating tight trails or avoiding obstructions like rocks, Yukon AT4 has camera views† that can be accessed through the 10-inch diagonal multicolor touch screen with GMC Premium Infotainment System† and available navigation. The views are:
- High Definition Surround Vision for a top-down bird's-eye view of Yukon AT4’s surroundings.
- Standard Front Camera View shows front view with available guidelines to assist with parking and tight maneuvers.
- Standard Rear Camera View displays rear view to assist with parking and tight maneuvers.
- Front Top-Down View for a top-down view of Yukon AT4’s hood, bumper and front tires for tight maneuvers.
- Rear Top-Down View shows the clearance between Yukon AT4’s rear and nearby objects.
- Front Side View shows the position of the front tires when parking or maneuvering in tight spaces.
- Rear Side View shows the rear sides of the vehicle to help allow the driver to view objects near the vehicle.
- Hitch View provides a close-up, guide-lined view of the receiver hitch for precise alignment for trailer connection.
