OFF-ROAD READY: 2021 CANYON LINEUP INTRODUCES FIRST EVER AT4
When you want a small truck that helps you get away from it all, the new 2021 GMC Canyon doesn’t just give you great capability, it also gives you a premium experience that’s right for any adventure ─ especially now with the First Ever Canyon AT4.
Possessing a high level of craftsmanship and purposeful engineering to hit the dirt, Canyon AT4 (Preproduction models shown throughout. Actual production models may vary. AT4 model throughout shown with available accessory.) joins another new trim, Canyon Elevation, and the iconic Canyon Denali for a lineup that truly embodies authentic GMC premium quality with uncompromising power. Each has unique embellishments inside and out, such as Canyon Elevation’s new High Elevation package, AT4’s rugged off-road elements and Denali’s top-of the-line comfort.
So regardless of your choice, 2021 Canyon offers the exceptional capability and premium comfort that comes from being a genuine GMC pickup.
Turning off pavement and onto dirt with confidence, the 2021 Canyon AT4 has the authentic off-road capability rooted in the AT4 brand.
With a dark, bold appearance, the exterior includes signature AT4 badging and design elements like the red recovery hooks†, and black chrome grille and grille surround. The look is accentuated further by 31-inch Goodyear® Wrangler DuraTrac tires for gripping rugged terrain, and unique 17-inch aluminum wheels.
Inside is a rugged interior that brings premium comfort to those who live active lifestyles. The available leather-appointed seating features AT4 embroidery on the head restraints and Kalahari stitching. There is also unique darkened trim and decor.
The 8-inch diagonal touchscreen with GMC Infotainment System† is compatible with both Apple CarPlay™† and Android Auto† devices to help you stay connected. There’s also available wireless charging† so you don’t need to worry about having a USB cord†.
Of course, being an AT4 also means having the genuine off-road ability for the back country. Coming standard is the 3.6L V6 engine, which offers a best-in-class 308 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque. There’s also the available 2.8L I-4 Duramax Turbo-Diesel, which delivers 181 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque.
Canyon AT4’s capability is enhanced further by an off-road suspension, standard four-wheel drive and transfer case shield. There’s also an automatic locking rear differential to help give improved traction in off-road situations by locking the rear wheels so they move at the same speed. For descending steep grades, the standard Advanced Hill Descent Control helps provide a smooth, controlled descent in uneven terrain without the driver needing to repeatedly push the brake pedal.
Already the only premium small truck in the segment, Canyon Denali takes its bold exterior, top-of-the-line materials and premium features to another level for 2021 with a fresh look and two exclusive interiors.
This head-turning style includes an updated Denali-exclusive chrome grille, body-color front and rear bumpers and LED fog lamps. There’s even a new Denali-exclusive exterior color, Hunter Metallic.
The craftsmanship inside Canyon Denali has also been dialed up with an added interior color and leather-appointed six-way front driver and four-way passenger bucket seats. Featuring the Denali logo embroidered into the head restraints and contrast stitching, both seats are heated and ventilated. The interior is heightened further with authentic open-pore ash wood accents, heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a durable, soft-touch instrument panel.
Additionally, the advanced technology inside the 2021 Canyon Denali is designed to offer an effortless, driver-centric experience. The 8-inch diagonal touch screen with GMC Infotainment System and Navigation† — compatible with both Apple CarPlay† and Android Auto† devices — is equipped with a Bose† premium audio system. There’s also standard wireless charging† to help keep phones charged without a cord.
This premium experience takes nothing away from Canyon Denali’s capability which, like Canyon AT4, comes standard with the 3.6L V6 engine or is available with the 2.8L I-4 Duramax Turbo-Diesel. So, from grille to gate, the unmistakable and impressive look of 2021 Canyon Denali not only reflects the pinnacle of professional grade but offers uncompromising power too.
From carrying camping gear to kayaks, 2021 Canyon Elevation undoubtedly brings the versatility and capability needed for embarking on that next outdoor adventure.
This new trim in the Canyon lineup — available as Elevation and Elevation Standard — features more stylish exterior design elements than ever before, including 18-inch black cast aluminum wheels with black GMC center caps and a new bold black front grille with body-color surround. The complete and functional interior includes an available six-way power driver bucket seat and 8-inch diagonal touch screen with GMC Infotainment System†.
The styling, premium materials and technology can be elevated even further with the available High Elevation package, which has Jet Black leather-appointed seating, heated driver and front-passenger seats, power driver seat lumbar control and heated steering wheel.
Rugged, stylish and powerful — the 2021 Canyon lineup means having a small pickup with exceptional capability that doesn’t compromise on refinement to help keep you exploring.
