When you want action, GMC has an off-road adventure vehicle ready to tackle the trails with the 2021 Canyon AT4 Off-Road Performance Edition.

Adding even more rugged capability to the already capable Canyon AT4, the Off-Road Performance Edition takes this small pickup truck’s fearless attitude to a higher level. In addition, this package offers even more distinction to the unique AT4 look with features that are not only functional but enhance its bold appearance.

For example, the Off-Road Performance Edition includes a factory-installed front suspension leveling kit that raises the front of the pickup truck by 1 inch for additional ground clearance. And because the front air dam has been removed, the kit gives you a 29.5-degree front approach angle, a 35.8 percent increase. This will help when climbing up obstacles.

When the going gets rough, the Canyon AT4 Off-Road Performance Edition is outfitted with equipment to help shield the underside of the pickup truck. This includes an off-road rocker panel protector to help shield the side of the pickup truck in scenarios like rock crawling. It also helps give added maneuverability by acting as a pivot point if necessary.

For the underbody, the performance front and mid skid plates are made of a thick aluminum plate to help shield the lower radiator, front differential, steering gear and oil pan. Combined with the Canyon AT4’s standard transfer case shield, the Off-Road Performance Edition has added protection for key sections of the pickup’s underbody.

As for its appearance, GMC included unique features that emphasize the bold signature of an AT4 while adding more differentiation to its confident off-road attitude. The carbon black AT4 logos are matched to a gloss black performance exhaust tip and 17-inch gloss black wheels wrapped by 31-inch Wrangler DuraTrac® tires. And if your outdoor adventure means making use of the truck bed, the Canyon AT4 Off-Road Performance Edition has a standard spray-in liner that offers added protection.

The interior, meanwhile, possesses the same athletic attitude of an AT4, but with floor liners that help give added protection. So, if you do step outside while going off road, you get additional durability when it’s time to get back behind the wheel.

Finally, this pickup truck has two powertrain options that give you excellent capability. The standard 3.6L V6 offers 308 horsepower and 275 lb.-ft. of torque, while the available 2.8L Duramax® Turbo-Diesel delivers 181 horsepower and 369 lb.-ft. of torque. These engines pack in plenty of off-road ability, giving you a small off-road pickup truck that is ready to scout the next trail.

From grille to gate, the Canyon AT4 Off-Road Performance Edition is a fierce small pickup truck through and through. To learn more, head to the Canyon AT4 page.
