Striking design. Smart capability. Strong performance. The same qualities you value in your professional-grade active gear are exactly what set the Next Generation 2019 GMC Sierra Elevation apart from other full-size pickup trucks. With its bold appearance, innovative functionality, and advanced connectivity, the Sierra Elevation is ready to raise your experiences to a whole new level.

DISTINCTIVE BY DESIGN
Much like the recently-unveiled 2019 Sierra Denali, 2019 Sierra SLT, and 2019 Sierra AT4, Sierra Elevation’s exterior styling is built upon a prominent foundation of strong bodywork, incorporating chiseled shoulders, and a tall, powerful hood, capped with a grille that’s bigger and bolder than any prior Sierra.

Sierra Elevation goes further, incorporating color-coordinated door handles, bumpers, and a grille surround in order to provide a bold, monochromatic look. The appearance is further amplified by way of a number of black exterior accents, including the grille insert, tow hooks, side window trim, and most notably, 20-inch aluminum wheels, which are standard on Elevation.

Like other modern GMC designs, advanced lighting technology plays a key role in shaping the 2019 Sierra Elevation. New high-intensity LED headlamps, which incorporate C-shaped "light blade" signature lighting elements, LED fog lamps, and C-shaped LED elements within the taillights - all standard on Sierra Elevation - help accentuate the truck’s formidable design, delivering a distinctive appearance both night and day.

ELEVATED CAPABILITY

Sierra Elevation leverages innovative technology and smart engineering to enhance capability and elevate driver confidence. With the Traction Select System and the twist of a dial, the driver can choose from preset modes designed for distinct purposes or conditions. Selecting one of these modes adjusts Sierra’s transmission shift points, throttle mapping, and other systems to optimize performance for the situation at hand. Tour mode, for instance, is ideal for everyday driving, while Terrain mode configures the vehicle for driving  on non-paved surfaces.

For those who frequently travel off the beaten path, Sierra Elevation is available with the X31 Off Road package, which includes unique suspension tuning with Rancho twin-tube dampers, Hill Descent Control, protective underbody skid plates, a heavy-duty air cleaner, a dual exhaust system, and a two-speed transfer case with low-range gearing.

If trailering a camper, or other gear is part of your itinerary, you’re in luck. The Next Generation 2019 Sierra Elevation was designed from square one with trailering in mind. The available ProGrade Trailering System incorporates a number of innovative features, including an advanced Trailering App, which are designed to take the guesswork out of connecting and towing a trailer.

PURPOSEFUL CONNECTIVITY
Sierra Elevation’s capability also extends to the realm of digital connectivity. Wherever your travels may take you, Sierra Elevation provides the means to stay as connected to your world as you desire.

An 8-inch diagonal GMC Infotainment System, which incorporates Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, is standard on Sierra Elevation, along with a six-speaker audio system. A premium GMC Infotainment System, which incorporates a higher resolution touchscreen, voice recognition functionality, and available in-vehicle apps, is optional. The premium system also incorporates available advanced cloud-based personalization features, allowing different drivers to save vehicle settings, radio presets, and other details to a profile that can be loaded in other compatible vehicles. Additionally, USB Type A and Type C ports for charging mobile devices are standard.

Both systems offer extended connectivity through GMC Connected Services and OnStar. A built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot is integrated into Sierra Elevation, allowing up to seven mobile devices to connect within 50 feet of the truck. Owners can also keep tabs on their vehicle and leverage their smartphone as a remote key fob via the myGMC smartphone app.

FORWARD-THINKING FUNCTIONALITY
Sierra Elevation was designed to get you and your gear – be it camping equipment, mountain bikes, motorcycles, or beyond – exactly where you need to go. That’s especially evident within Sierra Elevation’s cargo box. Our engineers worked hard to make it to the ideal place to store and secure a wide variety of cargo.

The 2019 Sierra Elevation offers best-in-class cargo volume – 62.9 cubic feet on short-box models and 89.1 cubic feet on standard box models. Sierra’s available 5-foot, 9-inch pickup box actually offers more cargo volume than Ford or Ram’s 6.5-foot-long standard boxes. Also located in the rear is a 120V outlet to supply power to the tools and supplies needed for a day at the campsite or trails. Available GearOn rails within the box allow for bike racks, kayak carriers and other accessories to be installed or adjusted quickly and easily.  The rails’ integrated position makes cargo more accessible and frees up space in the rest of the box. A larger and improved CornerStep rear bumper, along with integrated hand grabs in the top of the bed rail, ease climbing in and out of the bed in order to load or secure cargo.

NEXT-GENERATION POWERTRAIN
Sierra Elevation’s capability is also thanks in part to its driveline. Elevation is available with a number of new engine and transmission configurations that deliver the perfect blend of power and efficiency.

Standard equipment on the 2019 Sierra Elevation is an all-new 2.7-liter turbo engine, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. GMC’s next-generation 5.3-liter V-8 is also available on Sierra Elevation, in conjunction with an 8-speed automatic transmission. This improved version of the 5.3-liter V-8 utilizes a new Dynamic Fuel Management system, which enables the engine to operate on anywhere from one to eight cylinders, depending on demand, in order to optimize power and efficiency.

Later in 2019, the Sierra Elevation will also be offered with a new 3.0-liter turbo-diesel inline-six-cylinder engine, along with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The 2019 GMC Sierra Elevation will be available at GMC dealers nationwide starting in the fall of 2018.
